Crane Arts Building Highlighted by NEA

The Chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts, Rocco Landesman, stopped by Crane Arts as part of his national “Art Works” tour that is exploring the role of the arts in economic revitalization.  Philadelphia was touted as a leading example of a city promoting the creative economy. The Crane Arts Building, a former warehouse transformed into artist studios and gallery space, is featured in the Infill Philadelphia Retooling Industrial Sites exhibit.  The renovation was designed by Continuum Architecture & Design, who have another industrial reuse project in the exhibit, the Icehouse Residences.
