Context

The East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District runs from King of Jeans at Mifflin Street to Pat's and Geno's Steaks at Federal Street. Between these South Philly landmarks are some of the best Italian restaurants and specialty shops in the region. Individual stores shine, but the corridor needs more coherence and continuity.

Site

The southern gateway to the Avenue, where Broad Street, East Passyunk Avenue, and McKean Streets intersect.

Challenge

To create a stronger gateway and link the intersection with other key East Passyunk Avenue crossroads.
